Fundraising

Fundraising is essential for us at The Northam Care Trust.  Our supporters ensure we can provide minibuses, holidays and vital improvements to our buildings and facilities.  We have an active Fundraising Committee who organise fetes, auctions, street collections and other fundraising events.

Have a look at our Events Calendar to see what exciting fundraising events we have coming up.

We would love more people to help raise funds, so please contact us if you would like to volunteer, run a sponsored event for us or just make a donation.

If you have any fundraising ideas or you would like to hold your own event to raise funds or awareness for The Northam Care Trust, please contact us.

Volunteering

We have many volunteers who support our work and provide valuable links into the community. We need volunteers to help with:
  • Activities and outings with clients such as swimming, horse-riding, arts and crafts, gardening, outings and picnics.
  • Care - to befriend our clients and accompany them on outings.
  • Gardening, decorating and maintenance to help keep our buildings and grounds looking beautiful.
  • Fundraising and events organisation to keep the money coming in.
  • Driving to make sure our mini-buses are used as much as possible to take people out.

No qualifications are required other than a caring and friendly personality. Some volunteers have discovered that they have a real talent for the work and have decided to make this a full-time occupation. Others may find work as a volunteer a good way to gain confidence and make new friends. Whatever your requirements, you will be warmly welcomed and given training and support as required, so do contact us if you would like to join the volunteer team.

We currently need help with:

  • CARE & SUPPORT IN ACTIVITIES
  • DRIVING
See below to apply
We will offer you full support, guidance & mentoring
Maybe you have skills and life experiences that you want to share, perhaps you’re looking to develop new skills in a care environment or you might simply have some time to spare to make a difference to the lives of those we care for.

Whatever your reason for volunteering, The Northam Care Trust will be grateful for your time and value your input.

THE ROSEBUDS GARDENING TEAM

We are looking for green fingered Volunteers to join our Rosebuds gardening team on Monday mornings.  Come and help us maintain our grounds, allotments and raised beds, and care for our potting shed plants for plant sales. A knowledge of gardening would be useful, and if you can use mowers/strimmers even better.
