Our Awards

NDVS Community Awards 2024

In November, we attended the North Devon Voluntary Service’s community awards evening where we are proud to present three winners from The Northam Care Trust! A huge congratulations to Ann, George, and Robin!

​

Ann won a ‘volunteer of the year award’ for her dedication and volunteering services at our Rosehill Day centre. She has volunteered at Rosehill since 2017 and was the only volunteer to return after COVID! Each week she helps out at Rosehill with a cheerful and enlightening spirit. Thank you for your dedication Ann.

​

Robin won ‘Trustee of the year’ for his services at TNCT and the RNLI. Robin is a passionate Trustee and Chair Trustee at TNCT and always has the interest of those we support at heart. Thank you for your services Robin, we appreciate all that you do for us.

​

George won the ‘Digital Impact Award for his services in renewing TNCT’s digital footprint. From building a new website for the Trust to bringing our socials to life, he’s dedicated his role to the Trusts digital impact. Congratulations George.

​

Congratulations to all of the winners on the night at the NDVS, it was an amazing evening and very inspiring getting to celebrate all of the great things being achieved in North Devon.

Community Partner of the Year 2024

On Saturday the 16th of November, Fiona our HR manager attended Atlantic Racquet Centre's awards evening where we won the Community Partner of the Year award for the third year running!

A special mention to the runners-up of this award Atlantic Coast Co-operative Trust and Village Schools Partnerships .

​

We feel fortunate and proud to have won the award, especially with the other incredible organisations up for the award as well. Thank you ARC for another incredible year and an excellent awards evening celebrating all the successes.

Leaders In Care Awards 2024

The Northam Care Trust were the winners of the 2024 Care Home Provider of the Year award at the Leaders in Care awards. Home care insights mentions this awards recognises a provider who has made strides this year to grow their business and the community it serves.

We are honoured to receive such an award, especially as a smaller charity. "This is thanks in no small part to all the fantastic work each and every one of our staff do every day in supporting our guys to live their best lives! We were up against some very large companies so we are proud of our achievements!" ~ Jo Howell, CEO.

Great British Care Awards 2023

The Northam Care Trust attended the Great British Care Awards in Bristol on the 23rd of November 2023 as our Community Projects and Outreach service manager Cindy was up for an award. A huge congratulations to Cindy for receiving a highly commended award for 'Newcomer in Social Care' at the Great British Care Awards. Cindy joined The Northam Care Trust just last year and has already had a huge impact on our day centre at Rose Hill, as shown by her Highly Commended award! Cindy's enthusiams towards her role has been contagious around the office and her dedication for constant improvement within the trust is inspirational.

We are super proud of Cindy's achievements and to be nominated for a national award within your first year at the trust just shows how great you are and how excellent your impact has been!

Atlantic Racquet Centre Community Partner of the Year 2023!

The Northam Care Trust were pleased to have received the Community Partner of the Year award from Atlantic Racquet Centre on the 25th of Novemeber 2023 for the second year running!

Our partnership with ARC has proved valuable most specifically for those that we support who massively benefit from what ARC has to offer through numerous inclusive activities. The Atlantic Racquet Centre goes above and beyound to ensure those at The Northam Care Trust, both staff and the people we support, achieve their healthy goals. We are grateful for all that ARC does for the trust.

The Northam Care Trust is also a corporate board member of ARC and provide monthly updates on how those being supported to use the facilities are getting on and the outcomes for those people, which is always positive. Long may this fantastic partnership continue.

Learning disability and autism National awards

A huge congratulations to our Quality & Improvements manager Yasmin who received a 'highly commended’ runners up award for The Senior Manager of The Year on Friday 30th June at the LDawards 2023.

The Northam Care Trust were also honoured to be apart of such an amazing event in the LD Awards celebrating excellence in the support for people with learning disabilities. What a great night for the industry and for our Trust!

Winner of the Small and Medium Enterprise Recognition Kickstart Award

Fiona White, Senior HR Manager and Robin Stoneman, Chair of Board of Trustees of The Northam Care Trust attended the DWP’s Building Futures Awards evening at Lancaster House, London on 12th July 2022 to receive the Small and Medium Enterprise Recognition Award for Kickstart. We offered Kickstart jobs to 32 young people with 24 remaining in permanent roles in the Trust. We are immensely proud of this recognition award, but more importantly we are pleased to have been able to support the DWP’s Kickstart scheme. The awards event was attended by PM Boris Johnson and Therese Coffey, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

Atlantic Racquet Centre Community Partner of the Year 2022

The Northam Care Trust were extremely proud to have been presented with the Atlantic Racquet Centre Community Partner of the year award by Atlantic Racquet Centre.

We have a meaningful partnership with ARC and are very grateful for all that they do in helping us improve the lives of the people we support. The people we support are always welcomed and valued at ARC with racquet sports sessions, gym sessions and a social space for our older age social group. Inclusivity underpins both our organisations – and this partnership working has helped both ARC and TNCT achieve great outcomes for people.
