The Northam Care Trust are proud to announce that our Trustee Chris Fulford has been appointed an MBE for his services to people with disabilities in North Devon!
This is incredible news and something we believe is very well deserved. We'd like to say a personal thank you from the Trust to Chris for all of his dedication and services towards the Trust over the years. We are grateful for all that you do for us. Thank you.
Chris was honoured to receive his MBE and says:
"It is with the greatest honour that I accept this award on behalf of the Trustees, Staff, volunteers, and most importantly the people we support at The Northam Care Trust."
"I have served the Trust since my retirement, which is over 20 years with three chief executives who have had the foresight, drive, and imagination to expand and consolidate its activities to people with disabilities, to their families, and more recently to the elderly of North Devon, who have become isolated during the pandemic. The Trust is the biggest employer in Northam Parish, and strives to provide people with the best care and support to enable them to live their best lives possible".
"As a charity, the trust cares for over 100 people with learning disabilities and up to 50 older people through groups. I am proud of the work we do and hope this charity will be given central government funding to continue on for many years. As a trustee, I have helped shape the direction of this wonderful charity and am proud to see how we have grown and flourished over the years.”
